19. March: Spring is on its way!

Down to earth advice on growing your own fruit and vegetables with gardener Terry Walton

Down to earth advice on growing your own fruit and vegetables with allotment gardener Terry Walton, from his plot in the Rhondda Valley.
On a windy day at the start of March Terry has advice on the crops you can start off to get ahead for the season and updates on the seeds he's already sown in his greenhouse. This week's jobs include using sand to prepare the right soil texture for growing carrots, and preparing a bed with the correct pH for brassicas.
If you're new to gardening Terry talks about the best crops to make a start with and how to keep your expectations realistic. And are you ready for Potato Pick 'n Mix?
