Could new technology be used to spot dementia earlier?
More than 900,000 people are living with dementia in the UK, a number that's predicted to rise to over a million as soon as next year. With drugs proven to slow down the progression of the condition, catching it early is crucial - but diagnosis can be a long and tricky process.
Gethin Jones has been to the University of Sheffield to find out about the revolutionary new technology offering hope for the future, by analysing people's speech to identify symptoms at their earliest stage.
