Out of sight is too often out of mind, but the three nominees working to Revive our Oceans are determined to make a difference to the health of our blue planet. Abalobi work with fishers in South Africa, using an app to track and trace their catch, ensuring it is sustainable and giving customers clear accountability for their choices. Based in the Philippines, Coastal 500 are a global network of local majors and governmental leaders who support each other in looking after our oceans, and work with local communities that rely on the sea for their livelihoods. And Wildaid Marine Program work across the world to scale marine protection – making sure that supposedly protected areas are properly monitored, and in doing so strengthening marine conservation.
