The Devil’s Confession: The Lost Eichmann Tapes
When Nazi war criminal Adolf Eichmann went on trial in 1961, he denied the accusations. But rediscovered tapes tell another story, revealing a man damning himself with his own voice.
In April 1961, attorney general Gideon Hausner stood up on behalf of the Israeli government and brought charges against the Nazi criminal Adolf Eichmann.Β Eichmann denied the allegations. However, four years earlier in Argentina, Eichmann recorded a startling interview with fellow Nazi fugitive and journalist Willem Sassen. Speaking freely and proudly about his role in the war, Eichmann can be heard proving his guilt beyond a shadow of a doubt. When Eichmann is later kidnapped by Israel and taken to Jerusalem to stand trial, Sassen hid the incriminating tapes - vital evidence Gideon Hausner is determined to discover.
