Syrian refugee in Leicester smashes his A-Level results
Students across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland who sat A-levels, T-levels and BTECs are finding out their results this morning. Ministers have warned A-level results in England are expected to be in line with those in 2019.
Adnan Hannan Khoraki arrived in Leicester as a Syrian refugee, who smashed the odds by getting a string of A* Gcse's, despite not speaking a word of English when he first started school. He was in year two when war broke out in his home country of Syria, resulting in him losing two years of education.
Now he's heading to Loughborough University having secured his A-Level grades - Adnan gave his reaction to Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Leicester's Conor O'Grady.
