'The pub was a love affair - but comedy is a marriage'
A former pub landlord from Leicester has started his run of comedy shows at this year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
For a number of years Alex Hylton was the landlord of the Salmon Pub in Leicester. But he gave all of that up to go into comedy full time.
This year is Alex's 7th appearance at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe - described as one of the greatest celebrations of arts and culture on the planet, which takes place every August in Scotland’s capital city. Alex's show 'I Won't Let Failure Go To My Head' is happening daily at venue 'Just the Tonic' at The Grassmarket Centre until Sunday 27th August.
Alex explains to Jo Bostock what the Fringe is like, and how it can often be a nerve wracking experience for performers.
