'When the children arrived at the school the gates were covered in angels'
Over a thousand knitted angels have winged their way to homes in a Leicestershire village.
From the library to the local school, the angels have been unveiled in different areas of the community, including 70 which have been given to a local nursing home.
The angels were knitted by local residents and members of the New Life Church. It follows a similar project in 2018 when 400 angels were knitted by local churchgoers and handed out across the village.
Ady Dayman heard from Linda Benyon who is one of the people behind the project.
