Culture, traditional practices a hinderance to equal rights on land ownership
By law, women in the Gambia are allowed to own land, however, culture and traditional practices have for many years been a big hinderance to equal rights on land ownership. But one woman is fighting for women’s rights to buy, own and cultivate land through her organization, Tressor Women Warriors. The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ’s Ruth Mulandi tells us her story.
