Women in Mukiga forced to use dilapidated canoes to cross Lake Bunyonyi
Bakiga women from Kaabale District, Southwestern Uganda, cross one of Africa’s deepest Lakes, Lake Bunyonyi daily to earn a living. They cannot afford to pay for normal motorboats so they cross the lake on dilapidated canoes with their babies strapped on their backs. The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ’s Grace Kuria-Kanja spent a day with them and brings you this story.
