The G7 comes to Liverpool
Foreign and Development Ministers from the G7 group of nations are in Liverpool this weekend.
Foreign Secretary Liz Truss will meet counterparts from the US, France, Germany, Italy, Canada, Japan and the EU over 3 days.
It's the third big event to take place this year as part of the UK's G7 Presidency in 2021.
Liz Truss says Liverpool was chosen as the venue for the summit due to its history as an iconic port city with a global outlook.
The Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram told our Political Reporter Claire Hamilton the city is the obvious choice.
