The School Run: Liverpool's Greenbank Primary School in Wavertree close road for the school drop-off and pick-up
The school run can be stressful at the best of times - suddenly remembering forgotten homework or P.E kit, dodging dog poo and saying "hurry up" a million times, but for many parents and children who walk to school, the worst part is trying to avoid cars.
Following a three year campaign, a Liverpool Primary School's managed to close the road outside its main entrance at school drop off and pick up times.
Greenbank Primary in Wavertree uses temporary barriers at either end of the road twice a day to stop cars, after too many near misses.
It's hoped other schools will soon be able to follow their lead.
