There is a huge gender disparity in STEM programs not just in Africa but across the globe.聽 In Africa, the gap is glaring. A study by UNESCO established that 80% of the women surveyed faced challenges in the workplace that men did not. Another 63% had to constantly prove themselves. So, what are some of the achievements women in STEM have made in Africa? What are some of the possible contributors to the gender discrepancy in STEM fields?
