Council headquarters to be location of one of the UK's first Covid-19 vaccination centres
Preparations are expected to get underway in the next few days to convert a large part of Charnwood Borough Council's headquarters into one of the UK's first Covid-19 vaccination centres.
A substantial part of the building on Southfields Road in Loughborough will be given over to the new facility for at least nine months.
The proposals are expected to be signed off in the next couple of days by the NHS and the Ministry of Defence.
The leader of the council, Jonathan Morgan, told ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Leicester's Ben Jackson why Charnwood has been chosen as one of the first locations.
