‘We’ll get used to missing crowds and empty stadiums’

Cricket is a multi-billion-dollar business in India. The popular Indian Premier League - the world’s richest Twenty20 tournament - is worth more than 11 billion dollars a year to India’s economy. But it is now staring at a first wipe-out in its 12-year history due to the coronavirus crisis. WorklifeIndia’s Tulika Bhatnagar spoke with Dinesh Karthik, one of the most capped players in Indian cricket and captain of the Kolkata Knight Riders team on how the pandemic is set to change the game of cricket and how is lockdown affecting players.
