India’s Microfinance challenge
Millions of Indian households rely on microfinance which are small loans available to the poor as an alternative to traditional banking credit. But after the pandemic many women in rural parts of the North Indian state of Punjab are now struggling to pay back and are falling in a debt trap. Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ’s Devina Gupta travels there to find out more.
