A private domestic refuse system collection is starting in Northampton costing Β£260 a year for fortnightly collections on the weeks when the council collection doesn't happen.

A private domestic refuse system collection is starting in Northampton with householders put all their rubbish into one, single bin, which is then collected and sorted by Huntingdon-based company, Mick George Ltd. Customers would pay Β£260 a year for fortnightly collections on the weeks when the council collection doesn't happen. Northampton Borough Council says it doesn't see a need for such a service.
