Simon Callow on his passion for Oscar Wilde
Simon Callow discovered author and playwright Oscar Wilde when he was 13. In Wilde, he found a larger than life character with a love for language.
In this clip from Callow’s short film Oscar and Me from 1995, Simon elaborates on the origins of his passion for the writer. Wilde had only recently been memorialised in Westminster Abbey’s Poets' Corner.
