Robotic technology is moving forward in leaps and bounds. What's to fear? And why do so many of us dread it anyway?
The robots are coming so we're asking why so many of us fear technological change. Calestous Juma, an internationally recognised authority on the application of science and technology and professor at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, explains the roots of that fear looking back at the history of technological advancement. Also, Katie Prescott reports from a robotics conference in London and columnist Lucy Kellaway of the Financial Times wonders why, despite our distrust of technological change, consumers still happily buy into the latest gadgets.
