The last day of the school year is always a very happy time for students as they break up for the long summer holidays, but one Leicester pupil has even more of a cause to celebrate today.

That's because in 8 years of education, 11-year old Ayman Abow has never missed a day of school! From the age of 3, no colds, chicken pox or infections has kept this boy away from learning.
Well to honour his amazing achievement, Ayman is being given a very special last day at school. To tell us more is our reporter Helen McCarthy.
