Start your day with the latest news and updates, with Jim and Jo at breakfast.

A new report on the health of people in Leicester is out and its not great reading. Some things we already knew - like the oral health and obesity levels of our children is amongst the worst in the country. But Leicester City Council's health profile also reveals some other quite stark findings.

The NHS is spending THREE times as much on private ambulances for 999 calls compared to four years ago. The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's discovered ambulance trusts across England spent more than 68 million pounds on private providers last year due to staff shortages and the rising number of emergency calls.

Now, we may have finished top of the Premier League recently but sadly, the city has less to celebrate when it comes to individual's household purchasing power. Leicester had a disposable incomes of Β£12,071 on average in 2014, after taxes, social contributions and benefits were taken into account, according to regional figures from the Office for National Statistics - the bottom of the UK table.
