Susan Whelan on Leicester City's Generous Owners
Leicester City's end of season awards started with a bang last night, where the club's chief executive, Susan Whelan announced that the owners were going to donate Β£2million to the city's hospitals.
The donation came as a thank you, to welcoming the Thai owners to Leicester and supporting them throughout their time at the club. The Srivaddhanaprabha family purchased Leicester City back in 2010 and since then have witnessed mediocrity and success in the Championship, the Greatest Escape and now Premier League glory.
And Whelan spoke to our breakfast programme this morning (11/05/16) where she told us that despite knowing the owners incredibly well, their donantion came as a surpirse.
