β€œThe north cannot long neglect the anguish of the south, lest mad men take over,” said renowned Kenyan Scientist, Professor Ali Mazrui, following on from the attacks of September 11th. Since then, a new generation of African leaders has come up with a fresh vision for the continent’s future in partnership with the developed world. In this second programme of a three-part series, Tanzanian journalist Adam Lusekelo investigates just how much these developed countries are prepared to get involved, and why many prominent Africans, such as Professor Mazrui, belief if the North ignores the problems of the south, it will be at its peril.
