Danish Students Against Immigration
Racism and violence are rising among young people living in Denmark
Racism and violence are rising among young people living in Denmark. Today, an increasing number of students are turning to the Danish Forum – a controversial group that sees Asian influence as a threat to their indigenous culture. We report from the country’s capital city, Copenhagen, to find out why young Danes are becoming more concerned about immigration, and discover how their resentment is impacting Asians and those from other ethnic-minority groups living in Denmark.
Also on the show, we hear from Hollywood director, Tracy Allison, and her new film Labour Pains; a report from the High School for Economics in Finance in New York, America; the Baffle Bag Doctor answers listeners’ quirky questions; and the first in a short series about change over a generation, in which Vivienne Kaiser looks at young people who have made a difference this century.
