UK's gender pay gap explained
Businesses with more than 250 employees will have to provide details of how much they pay men and women, the government has said.
These statistics will then be compiled in a league table, in an attempt to tackle the UK's gender pay gap.
The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's Victoria Derbyshire programme looks back at how the issue has progressed in recent times.
