Restored Memorial
In almost every town and village across Leicestershire and Rutland there are memorials to those killed in the two world wars and other conflicts.
The centenary of the outbreak of WWI prompted many of us to find out more about those who gave their lives. In Kibworth Beauchamp the anniversary renewed an interest in the local war memorial in the grounds of St Wilfred's church. It had fallen into a state of disrepair - but now thanks to support from villagers and a fifteen thousand pound grant from Harborough District Council, it's been fully restored.
