Back to School: 42 years later
Thousands of schoolchildren started a new school term last week, but yesterday was a big day for one Leicestershire man who went back to school after 42 years! John Matts is in his fifties, but health problems mean he hasn't been able to work for the last 15 years. John wants to teach IT, but apparently his old CSE qualifications don't count and he needs GCSEs in English and Maths. He's decided to go back to the classroom to get them, and Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Leicester's Bridget Blair was there to lend some moral support as he waited to go into his first lesson at South Leicestershire College.
