As part of the programme's series covering 100 constituencies in the 100 days to the election, Tom Feilden reports from the seat of Monmouth in Wales where farmers are struggling to make milk production pay.

David Handley is a dairy farmer and the chairman of the pressure group Farmers for Action wants farmers to get a fair price for their produce.

"Somebody has to get a grip of retailers, we're not about wanting to see consumers having high prices to pay but there's got to be a price that reflects the cost of producing the product," he said.

At the Llangovan livestock centre, picture above, farmers expressed their concerns.

"The trouble with all politicians is they've never had a bill they couldn't pay and yet we're producing something that everybody needs, you cannot live without food," one said.

"They don't come out to the country to see what's happening, we're nothing for the government really," another added.
