Weather presenter Carol Kirkwood takes a journey along the new Forth and Clyde Canal extension
The Kelpies, two giant steel horses’ heads representing the origins of the Forth and Clyde canals have recently opened to the public. They signal a bright future for the canals which have undergone a massive £41 million pound regeneration. Thanks to a new extension thousands of sailors and holidaymakers will enjoy a stunning journey from one side of Scotland to the other. Weather presenter Carol Kirkwood took a journey along the canal’s new beginnings on the River Carron near Grangemouth.
