Jim Davis chats to the pioneer of alternative comedy Alexei Sayle
Alexei is the godfather of alternative comedy and now, after an absence of 17 years, he is back with his a full-length stand-up show.
He has burst back onto the comedy circuit after a few shows in London and rave reviews at the Edinburgh comedy Festival, he arrives in Leicester for one night at Curve.
He has been a part of the comedy scene in Britain since 1980 and appeared in TV shows from The Young Ones to Dr Who.
His acting has also taken him up onto the big screen with roles in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and the ill fated revisit to a much loved genre in Carry On Columbus - something he is less proud of!
Jim Davis caught up with him and asked him how it felt to return to stand up after nearly 20 years away.....
