Tudor children's clothing
A family portrait displayed in Longleat, an old Tudor house in Wiltshire, is examined to demonstrate what Tudor children wore. In the painting each girl wore a yellow lace shirt with a ruff around the neck, a black pinafore dress and a gold necklace. The children seem to wear similar clothes to their parents, but did they dress up for the occasion?
