Animal mask making
A group of children create animal masks using balloons, parcel tape and paint. This is a step-by-step lesson and starts with the children covering a balloon with tissue paper, and then covering three quarters of it with sticky brown parcel tape. Once the creation is solid enough, the balloon is removed from inside the packaging and the boys and girls set to work - adding ears, trunks and beaks before painting them in appropriate colours to match their choice of animal.
