Adding multiple-digit numbers
In his quest to save Princess Amber from the Evil Ruler, Captain Calamity must complete a test. He must return the Turtle’s Eye Diamond to Turtle Island.
First, to get to the island, he must pay the boatman in pizza. He gets pizza from three different stalls and altogether has 26 + 34 + 28 pizzas. Captain Calamity demonstrates an efficient way to add these numbers together.
Next, to make it to the island he must give a pizza seller 250 white rabbits. Captain Calamity adds 130 rabbits and 126 rabbits to make a total of 256.
