A jungle setting helps counting in threes, up to nine lots of three. The naughty monkeys are good for one day a year when they focus on Monkeys in Need. This year they decide to help the older folk by giving them bananas in bunches of three. They pick nine lots of bananas in bunches of three and share them out, before gathering them up and counting them back in again. This reinforces the mathematical concepts and vocabulary associated with the three times table.
