Crisis Loans Scheme Scrapped
Northants County Council now has responsibility for people in hardship who have run out of cash. It says it will help existing organisations such as food banks, rather than giving out cash.
Northamptonshire County Council has taken over responsibility for looking after people in hardship who have run out of cash. The Council has been given 2 million pounds for this but it says it will spend this on boosting existing organisations such as food banks, rather than giving out grants or loans.
