Uninsured Drivers Traced By System Pioneered In Northants

A system to target uninsured vehicles on our roads, pioneered here in Northamptonshire, has helped to cut the number of uninsured drivers. Corby is one of the top ten hotspots for uninsured cars

The Automatic Number Plate Recognition System was pioneered in Northamptonshire and its use by police is cutting the number of uninsured cars on the road. In the East Midlands Corby is one of the top ten hotspots for uninsured cars. Reporter Martin Borley hears from people in Corby, while Stuart talks to Neil Drane from the Motor Insurance Bureau, and to Tom Jones from Thompsons solicitors who are experts in dealing with such cases.
