Dance - inspiration from the library
The quiet sanctuary of the library is the backdrop for a series of dance movements based on a literacy theme. The library might appear quiet and still, but there is movement here. Readers turn pages. Sitting around a table, a group tussle over books. Behind the stillness is the private world each reader inhabits and here those moments are acted out. There's the temptation to bend the rules and break the silence, to make books into stepping stones and to turn the spiral stairs into a cascade of books.
