Introducing instruments - kora, sitar and an African bow harp
A musician introduces students to traditional stringed instruments from different cultures around the world.The kora comes from Africa and is made from animal skin with strings tied to the neck. The African bow harp is made from a vegetable gourd and a bent stick and is missing the bridge so it can be played like a harp. The sitar is from India and has a longer neck and many strings to lengthen the sound it produces.
