Bagpipes
Bagpipes were traditionally designed to be played outdoors and their sound can carry up to ten miles. Bagpipes are very old instruments and were played when Scottish clans went into battle. Their drone was one of the only things that could be heard above the roar and the din. 'Blue Peter' presenter, Simon, visits the Army School of Bagpipe Music and Highland Drumming to learn how to play the bagpipes. He listens to βScotland the Braveβ being played and then starts to learn the basics.
