A report about the importance of Spanish as a world language, focusing on the countries and regions using Spanish as their first language. Includes a summary of all the regions and countries that use Spanish as their first language. In Spain we are taken to Madrid, where Castilian Spanish is spoken; to AndalucΓa, home of Don Quixote; to Barcelona, where Catalan is the local dialect; to the Basque North with its unique language; and to the western region of Extremadura. Spanish is also the official language of republics that broke away from Spain in the 19th century. We see the Pampas of Argentina, the mountains of Ecuador, the coast and plantations of Columbia, the canals of Mexico and the forests of Costa Rica.
