Council Staff Sickness Levels "Unacceptably High"

The number of people taking sick leave at Northampton Borough Council is unacceptable, according to a report to councillors. On average staff at NBC each took nearly 12 days off sick last year.

Northampton Borough Council says the numbers of their workers taking sick leave is unacceptably high. Staff at NBC each took almost 12 days sick last year, compared to 7 days at other local authorities in Northamptonshire.
