Three of Kent's Conservative councils have criticised Government plans to relax planning laws.

Ministers are consulting on allowing homeowners and businesses to build much bigger extensions and conservatories, without planning permission.

However, a survey of our local authorities has revealed that Tory-led Tonbridge and Malling, Swale and Canterbury councils all have doubts about the proposals (06:07, 07:07 and 08:07).

It is a town which suffers from some of the worst congestion levels in Kent - now there is a new plan to spend millions of pounds to try and put things right.

Documents seen by 麻豆约拍 Radio Kent reveal plans to change the road layout on the North Farm industrial estate, home to big retail chains and local businesses.

Council officials meet local traders later this morning. One local electrician has even invested in a motorbike to beat the traffic and deliver parts to his co-workers (06:25, 07:22 and 08:22).
