John and Clare with the latest news, travel, and weather, plus stories from around Kent.

A Kent man who was stabbed repeatedly by his girlfriend is urging other male victims of domestic violence to speak out.

45 year-old Royce Ali from Gravesend was attacked by Andrea Madden following a row over her diet pills - she has now been jailed for seven years (06:07, 07:07 and 08:07).

Kent County Council has been ordered by the schools Adjudicator to reverse a decision to halve the number of new pupils going to a primary school in West Kent.

For the last three years, 60 children have been given places at Bishops Down Primary School in Tunbridge Wells because of demand from local parents, but next year the authority wants to cut the number to 30 because it says there is not enough room in the school.

Now there are concerns that virtually no local children will be offered places there in future unless they are siblings of pupils higher up the school (06:25 and 08:22).

More than half of Kent's councils have seen a rise in the number of people using their swimming pools and gymnasiums.

This is according to a survey by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Kent, which shows that seven of the 13 councils have seen usage levels at their facilities increase in the last year (07:48 and 08:48).
