The organisers of the Kent County Show have warned they face making a six figure loss after being forced to turn away thousands of people across the weekend in appalling weather conditions.
Heavy rain on Friday and Saturday turned the parking areas into mudbaths at the showground in Detling.
And yesterday the misery was compounded. Because many of the car parks were unusable, there was only parking available for members of the Kent County Agricultural Society and for people who had bought tickets in advance.
Some traders are threatening not to return next year(06:07, 07:07 and 08:07).
The Olympic torch reaches Kent for the first time tomorrow when it comes through Tunbridge Wells.
It is day 60 of the Olympic Torch Relay and in ten days time it will arrive at the Olympic Park and officially open the London 2012 Games.
It all began at at Land's End in Cornwall on the 19 May.
