Are you rich enough to give up your benefits?

There are 400,000 pensioners in Kent who are all entitled to help with winter heating, the cost of public transport, medical prescriptions and the TV license.

Should the richer ones give up these perks? Could you live without them?

A growing number of politicians have talked about the need to save money in this way. The latest the Conservative MP Nick Boles.

Should well-off pensioners continue to receive the winter fuel allowance, free bus passes, TV licenses and prescriptions?

Are you shouldering your fair share of spending cuts? Do you admire Nick Boles for talking straight? Do you feel got at?

Would you tell your colleagues how much you earn?

We speak to Charlie Mullins from Kent who runs a large plumbing firm in London. Recently, he asked his 200 employees to go into a room and tell each other what they earned. From senior managers to canteen staff, they all wrote down their name and salary on a post-it note and pinned it to a noticeboard. The highest earners were asked if they would consider taking a small pay cut to give the lowest earners a bit more.
