Winter training with the Brecon Mountain Rescue Team
Winter is one of the busiest times of year for the Brecon Mountain Rescue Team. Cold winds and bad weather make hill walking dangerous, whilst the long nights and bleak days force an unusually high number of people to contemplate taking their own lives. Renee Godfrey joins volunteers taking part in a night training exercise to rescue people with neck injuries from the mountain. She sees the incredible dedication these people have to their work and the difficulties involved with working in the dark.
