Canterbury residents' lives being made misery by late-night drinkers

Just some of the things residents in one Canterbury neighbourhood say they have to put up with regularly from late-night revellers. Residents in Worthgate Place say their lives are being made a misery and they want something done about it.

In six months' time, Kent will go to the polls to elect the county's very first police commissioner. The winning candidate will have the power to hire and fire the chief constable and shape Kent's policing strategy, controlling a budget of almost Β£300m a year.

A survey by a political think tank has revealed only one-in-five of us is aware the elections are even taking place. And one of the most high profile candidates for the job in Kent - Iraq war veteran Colonel Tim Collins - has withdrawn from the contest.

Tomorrow Clare McDonnell will be visiting the RHS Chelsea Flower Show for the very first time. Not only is it one of the best known horticultural events in the world with people from Taiwan, Japan, Thailand, Jamaica and Barbados taking part it is also a showcase for kent's best gardening talent.

Designer Jo Thompson, from Marden has created her first large show garden sponsored by the Caravan Club.

Today it is press and VIP day at Chelsea with the Royal Family expected to attend and we speak to our reporter Kathryn Morrison who tells us what is happening.
