Afghan handover + MP backs 'fire at will' employment law plan

The commanding officer of the Royal Anglian regiment says Afghan troops & police will be ready when UK troops pull out - and local MP Andrea Leadsom backs "fire at will" employment law proposals.

Lieutenant-Colonel Mick Aston, commanding officer of the 1st Batallion of the Royal Anglian Regiment, tells Stuart that Afghan forces will be ready to take over when his troops withdraw from Helmand Province. The regiment includes many personnel from Northamptonshire.

Stuart talks to the Conservative MP for South Northamptonshire, Andrea Leadsom, about Government plans to boost the economy by easing employment law. Andrea Leadsom says she backs proposals for the introduction of so-called "fire at will" measures. Christopher Cook from the University of Northampton Business School sets the Northamptonshire economy in context, asking what Northampton and Northamptonshire is known for in today's world.

Local farmer and NFU member Andrew Brown tells Stuart that agriculture in Northamptonshire is doing well despite the economic downturn.
