Louise Mensch calls for help for local 'papers & says Jeremy Hunt will survive Murdoch claims

Corby Conservative MP Louise Mensch calls for subsidies and tax breaks for local newspapers and says Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt should not quite despite revelations at Leveson Inquiry.

Louise Mensch, the Conservative MP for Corby calls for more subsidies and tax advantages for local newspapers. Mrs Mensch has called a Parliamentary debate on the issue following the announcement by Johnston Press last week that the Northampton Chronicle and Echo and Northamptonshire Evening Telegraph will both become weeklies from next month. She tells Stuart why local 'papers are so important and says that Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt should keep his job, despite claims made about him by James Murdoch at the Leveson Inquiry.
