Despite that, there is going to be a hosepipe ban in Kent from next month to stop us using so much of the precious stuff.
Here in the South East we have had two of the driest winters on record. One of the county's key reserviors at Bewl Water is only two fifths full, and groundwater levels in some areas are said to be close to the lowest levels ever recorded.
Hundreds of people in the West Kent villages of Knockholt and Halstead are waking up to another day without gas. It follows a burst water main at the weekend, which flooded the local gas supply.
Faversham and Mid Kent MP Hugh Robertson is trying to make sure every British athlete learns the National Anthem before the Olympics.
Mr Robertson, who is overseeing preparations for the event, was reacting after American-born Tiffany Porter did not answer a journalist who asked her to quote the Anthem's lyrics.
