The scams are said to be costing the insurance industry Β£350m-a-year, adding around Β£50 to typical premiums.

We hear from Marie Beard from Maidstone, a victim of the scam, and Richard Davies from the Insurance Fraud Bureau.

John and Clare also talk to the man who helped bring this group to justice, Detective Superintendent John Hollands from the Metropolitan Police.

Also on the programme, councillors in Cranbrook have proposed raising the council tax in the town in order to keep free parking.
